On September 5, 1936, at 2:30 pm, a woman was found wandering in a bog on the east shore of Nova Scotia, in Cape Breton. Her white jumpsuit was covered with black peat up to her waist. Two fishermen approached her, and the first words she spoke were: “I’m Mrs. Markham. I’ve just flown from England.”
